The Power of a Live Event

If you’re like me, you’re constantly on the hunt for any new technique or piece of knowledge that’s going to give you the edge in your business. You devour hot new books, listen to CD’s. You read newsletters and tune into Late-Nite Pajamajams.

Right?

How much is the total cost?

Will I get my computer at the seminar?

We have been working closely with their allocation manager (these things are in HOT demand right now) and Apple has solemnly promised us to deliver them before the seminar date. If Apple does their part, yes! You will get your computer when you arrive at the seminar and we’ll have a big Christmas party. If Apple screws up – then it’ll be shipped to you at no extra charge. (I’ve arranged for Apple’s Chicago regional manager, Tena Bucalo, to give a presentation at the seminar and show everyone how to use the cool features in their computers, and she’s gonna make sure the computers show up. Otherwise she’d have egg all over her face too.) I can’t wait to watch everyone open their presents at the April Christmas party!

How do you judge applications?

Preference will be given to my own existing customers, to my coaching grads and to my Renaissance Club Members. Beyond that it just depends on how many applications we get, because if we had 1,000 signups there’s no possible way we could handle all of them. The hotel’s already reserved. Space is limited. Apple can only ship so many of these MacBooks; heck, they didn’t even start filling orders for MacBooks until just this last week.

Are you giving away affiliate commission on this?

The dollars: At the $616 average sale price, that’s $107,800 total sales. We’d have gotten only $68,055 had we stuck with the first version, something (I hate to say) would have happened before your Adwords course.

That’s $39,745 we scooped up by implementing a simple, 15-minute change! Guess that sorta pays for the course... like, 10 times over.

Plus roll the numbers forward as we sell the next 250 sets... we’re easily looking at a +$100k impact in 2005 for this one product.

You, Howie and Bryan hammer it on the calls... we all focus on keywords and forget the power of the simple stuff once we get ‘em in.
